No and no, of course.  But it *is* possible to have politics without
democracy, and people keep trying it in hopes it will make things
better.

Sometimes it does, take TLUG for an example.  (Yo, J. Byrne, is there
a cabal?)  But on a national scale, with the power to tax involved, on
the whole I prefer democracy. ;-)
