UDP cannot do that > though. hm, I have checked on the client side and server side - both are using nfs version 4, which seems to use tcp by default. client /etc/fstab: IP.XXX.XXX.XXX:/ /mount/dir nfs4 rw,auto 0 0 server /etc/exports /export/dir MY.NET.XXX.XXX/21(rw,fsid=0,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check,sync) server is debian version 5.0.4 with 2.6.26-2-amd64 kernel best regards Michal
