Well, the hard part about IP law isn't understanding the license
terms, usually.  The question is whether Microsoft has the right to
tell you not to do something, and the answer is almost always "yes".

Ah, yeah, it begins to come back to me.  I think it's the instance
restriction that is the big annoyance in our environment.  We need a
minimum of 20 identical systems, and this restriction means that we
need to have separate disk and configuration for each, even in a VM.
We end up not really having any advantage over dual booting, and
conventional wisdom (here) is still that "a boot a day keeps the blue
screen away," so that's what we do -- there's no cost to rebooting
since we do it anyway.

YMMV.  I just respond by avoiding Microsoft OSes like the plague.
