Should be the same as QWERTY for vietnamese (proper IME), keyboard
layout is more of a hardware thing with X and how your keys are
ordered

I apologize, I seem to have not phrased my question quite the way I meant it, I'll blame the lateness of the hour :-)

Getting the Vietnamese IME isn't the problem; getting it to use my system default Dvorak keyboard mapping is the problem, because I don't do QWERTY (literally; I switched to Dvorak several years ago and now can no longer type on a QWERTY layout. I have to hunt and peck). For Japanese, there is a gear icon for settings, in which I can tell it to use the system default keyboard. No such icon with Vietnamese.

I'll see what I can do with scim-unikey in the evening, although that page is all in VNese so I'll have to wing it :-)

Thanks,

Jonathan
