So, looking at code for apache-2.2 it seems that it will try to open a file twice for writing without any lock mechanism in sight... https://github.com/apache/httpd/blob/2.2.x/modules/loggers/mod_log_config.c#L1589 Although there is probably line-buffer somewhere upstream, I guess under heavy load on several vhosts configured this way, log will be badly overwriten. Putting that on the ToTest list, but most probably not this month... Cheers, Kalin.
