I guess I prefer Slackware because I have always used it, and it has always been excellent. I have never tried to install Red Hat, but also have not heard much about it (good or bad). The Slackware packages are always filled with a reasonable set of programs and installs fairly painlessly. 2.3 came with ELF support and installing it was no harder than the non-ELF versions. Thus Java now works on my machine without having to go throught the clumsy process of installing ELF by hand. Not much factual data, just my biased opinion. :-) -- nori P.S. Is there another TLUG meeting on the horizon? :-) On Tue, 26 Dec 1995, A.Tomita,Jr. wrote: > > Anybody here could give me a quick comparision between these two packages? > > I just got my InfoMagic Linux Developer's Resources 5-CD pack, released > last November, and it has both distributions.
