I usually don't install other peoples' binary RPMs unless I at least do an 'rpm -qlp' on it to see what it's going to install beforehand. I usually just download the .src.rpm, build new binary RPMs on my machine (and tack a TL onto the incremented version number), and then install that. The nice thing is, when Ido that, since I run TL myself, if I like the program, voila I already have an .i386.rpm that I can drop into the next TL version or put on the pkgupdate site. :) -------------------------------------------------- Scott M.
